Frequently Asked Questions

Can’t find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the HTC True Wireless Earbuds below.

How do I charge the HTC True Wireless Earbuds?

To charge the HTC True Wireless Earbuds, follow these steps:
1. Take the earbuds out of the charging case. The LED lights on the earbuds will flash white, indicating that they are turned on.
2. Connect the charging case to a power source using the provided USB cable. Make sure to use a 5V charger for the initial charging.
3. Place the earbuds back into the charging case. The case will automatically start charging the earbuds.
4. Periodically recharge the charging case itself by connecting it to a power source with the USB cable.
It is important to note that the earbuds should not be used in extreme temperatures. To ensure the normal functionality of the earbuds, it is recommended to charge the batteries with a 5V charger for the first use.
Please refer to the user guide for more detailed instructions if needed.

Why is the battery life of the earbuds shorter than expected?

The battery life of the HTC True Wireless Earbuds may be shorter than expected due to several factors. Here are some possible reasons:
1. Volume level: If you listen to music or make calls at a high volume, it can drain the battery faster. Try reducing the volume to conserve battery life.
2. Usage time: The earbuds have a play time and talk time of 6 hours at a volume level of 70%. If you use them continuously for longer periods, the battery will deplete more quickly.
3. Standby time: If the earbuds are left unused for a long time, they will enter standby mode to conserve power. However, the standby time is limited to 150 hours. If the earbuds are not used within this time frame, the battery may drain.
4. Charging case: The charging case provides additional charges for the earbuds. If the charging case is not fully charged or if it is not properly connected to a power source, it may not provide sufficient power to recharge the earbuds.
5. Battery capacity: The earbuds have a battery capacity of 40mAh, which is relatively small. If you frequently use the earbuds for long periods without recharging, the battery life may be shorter.
To maximize the battery life of the HTC True Wireless Earbuds, ensure that you charge them fully, use them at a moderate volume level, and store them properly when not in use.

How do I pair the HTC True Wireless Earbuds with my iPhone?

6. Once paired, the earbuds will automatically connect to your iPhone whenever you take them out of the charging case.

Some Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Left/Right/One side of the earbuds has stopped working

If this happens, it may be because it is low on battery or it did not connect correctly with the device. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try charging the earbud that is not working or both, placing them in the charging case.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range.

If that doesn’t work, the earbud is probably faulty, and I can go for a refund or replacement of it.

Left/Right/One side of the earbuds has a low volume

If this happens, it may be because the earbuds are dirty or the volume is set low. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try cleaning the earbud using a cotton swab or carefully clean the mesh with a pin.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following:

If the microphone is muted, check the device microphone volume. If that doesn’t work, that means that there might be a defect in the earbuds, so try replacing them or getting a refund.

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> Select Bluetooth.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.
